We have reserved a room block with special rates for you at the Hotel Villa Miel from 07/16 to 07/19. Of course, you are free to choose your own accommodation. Especially for larger groups, a shared vacation rental or finca might also be worth considering.

Make the most of Mallorca

For everyone who would like to enjoy a little island time in addition to our wedding.

  • Getting around

You can easily get from A to B by bus or taxi. However, if you would like to discover more of Mallorca, we recommend renting a car. This way, you can explore the most beautiful bays, small villages, and hidden corners of the island with complete flexibility.

  • Beaches & Bays

Turquoise water, fine sand, and beautiful bays - Mallorca has a lot to offer! The beaches of Cala Millor and Sa Coma are right on your doorstep.

For those who prefer something a bit more idyllic, you should visit Cala Anguila, Cala Mendia, or Cala Agulla.

And for those planning a longer excursion: The dreamlike natural beach Es Trenc in the south of the island is also worth a visit.

  • Explore the island

Stroll through the charming alleys of Artà, discover the harbor town of Porto Cristo, or explore the impressive Dragon Caves. Those who want to see more of the island shouldn't miss Palma and the mountain villages of the Serra de Tramuntana.

And for our American guests, we have a very special cultural tip: A visit to the legendary Bierkönig at Ballermann – German high culture at its finest!

  • Food & Markets

Sample the Mallorcan cuisine, enjoy delicious tapas, and treat yourself to a glass of sangria, local beer, or local wine.

The traditional weekly markets are also worth a visit - especially in Artà (Tuesdays) and Son Servera (Fridays).

Those willing to drive a bit further shouldn't miss the popular market in Santanyí (Wednesdays and Saturdays). Perfect for strolling, browsing, and enjoying!

Currency & PAYMENT

In Mallorca, you pay with Euros. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, but a little cash for smaller shops, markets, or tips is always practical.

SPANISH LIFESTYLE

Things move a little differently on Mallorca: dinner is often not served until 8 PM, and smaller shops sometimes take a break at midday. So: sit back and enjoy the relaxed island vibe!

A few practical tips for our American family.

Good to know

Power Plugs

In Spain, there are different power outlets than in the US (Type C and F, 230 V). Therefore, remember to bring a suitable travel adapter and check if your devices support European mains voltage.

LANGUAGE

On Mallorca, Spanish and Mallorquin are spoken. In tourist areas, you will usually get by well with English. However, a friendly "Hola" or "Gracias" is always appreciated!

MOBILE DATA

Check your mobile provider's roaming charges before you travel. A travel eSIM can be an affordable alternative to stay online easily while on the go.

EMERGENCY & HEALTH CARE

In an emergency, you can reach the police, fire department, and ambulance service by calling the Europe-wide emergency number 112. You can identify pharmacies by the green cross.
